The last time we, at Sir Fruit, were in England (to visit Liz and Phil, obviously), we were profoundly inspired. By the ancient architecture, illuminated of an early morn by the crepuscular light? No. In fact we were inspired by the way the English so easily embrace the colour pink. Whether it’s the pink driveway Liz has had done for Buck House, or the name of that psychedelic 60s rock band who sang about walls. Who knows what they’ll turn pink next? And surely you remember the blushing pink shirts the Pom rugger team donned in 2008? Splendid!
So, upon our return to Afrika Borwa, we got to thinking. And after we’d finished with that, we decided to make some suitably hued lemonade. It’s perfectly blended, with lemon pulp, raspberry juice and a hint of rose water. Of an afternoon, it tastes just like an English summer.
Except without all that rain. Tally ho, etcetera.
- Rose water, lemon and goodness combined
- Lemonades slightly more flamboyant cousin
- Pink, perfected
